I have worked at McDonald's for a year. I had just got a new job today that gives me better hours and more pay. How do I go about quitting? Do I tell them when I'm working on Friday that I'm quitting, or should I go into McDonald's tomorrow when I'm not working and speak to my manager about it? Do I need to write a letter of resignation- or no because afterall it's only McDonald's.How do I go about quitting my job at McDonalds?
i quit my job at mcdonalds the other day, this is how i did it:
i wrote a letter that said "I am giving two weeks notice that I will be quitting because I am moving away for school (you dont have to include a reason if you dont want too) The last date I will be available for shifts will be _____. I have enjoyed my time working here.
Sincerely,

You should give atleast two weeks notice, but one week will probably be OK too. (The scheduals at the mcd's I worked at did the scheduals a week a head of time, so make sure you hand in your notice before the schedual is made!)
You can hand your letter in to any shift manager if the overall store manager is not in.How do I go about quitting my job at McDonalds?
Either way would be fine. It would probably be better to go in and talk to the manager when you're done with your shift but McDonalds is used to a high turnover rate so I wouldn't worry about them being mad or anything.
