I suppose that they go and have their incomes re-evaluated to adjust the affordable payment scheme?...or get another job...contact your lawyer and make an inquiry.

go get another job, part time full time etc.

Talking care of your child comes BEFORE everything

If you have to sell your car or house..do it
turn to crime, whatever it takes to keep the women flush with cash so they don't have to get off the couch while eating bon bon's and get a job to help support the kid.How will people pay there child support with everyone losing there jobs?
Sorry to hear this You well have to talk it over with your ex and work something out When I read post like this it makes me sad But you well make it just hang in there

What a load of crap from the above responders The man said he is laid off and is having trouble finding anything

Look I don't think they can put you in jail if your out of work
I don't know what to tell ya buddy, but the Army is always hiring.. and these days they'll just take the child support right out of your check, so you don't have to worry about it! :D
go to social services and apply for unemployment. even if you are not eligible for one, check with them, look for jobs, etc... you will get the child support payments backed up, but i doubt there is any jail involved. as long as you have proof you making an effort...
As each child support payment becomes due, it is a fixed obligation and not modifiable. If one becomes no longer able to pay a Court-ordered child support obligation, then it is that person's legal duty to file a motion to reduce child support payments. No other person has that duty or obligation. You cannot ignore or wish away a child support obligation. You must act with a motion to reduce. The motion to reduce must be based upon a material and substantial change of circumstances occurring after the last support order was entered by the Court. If you don't, upon a contempt proceding, a defense to confinement in jail is proof of inability to pay at the time the child support was due, and one must produce proof that he/she had no ability to borrow or sell property or use other assets, to make the payment. Proof of inability, without filing for a reduction, does not stop the increasing monthly debt from mounting with interest,
