First day at McDonalds tomorrow, what should i expect?

I start my first ever job at McDonalds tomorrow. Im working from 2pm-8pm. I was wondering what to expect. When i go into the store, should i go upto the counter and tell them its my first day at work? Im excited but nervous aswell.First day at McDonalds tomorrow, what should i expect?
You should expect a really crappy work experience.
Congrats on joining the McTeam! I am a crew trainer at the McDonalds in my home town. When you walk in go up to the counter and tell them your name and someone will direct you to where you need to go, most McD's have a crew room for you to go to. Im sure all McDonalds are different, but you probably will watch some E-learning, and learn some basic hands on stuff: How to clean the lobby, the restrooms, the lot, where stuff is located and other various things. You will probablly go over some SOC's (Station Observation Checklist's) and it will be very low key, although it may seem boring, day one is one of the most important days of your McDonalds career! Good Luck!First day at McDonalds tomorrow, what should i expect?
Although I never wanted to work at McDonalds I do respect them for doing a job I refuse to do, so here is some help:

When you go tomorrow ask to see a manger then explain it is your first day.

Fastfood is all about customer service, I doubt they will have you doing drive through your first week but when you get there just remember:

1) People are idiots

2) Even though people are idiots, you need to be polite.

Hope it helped a little?

Good luck.
Show up on time, even a bit early, go the counter and identify who you are. Be prepared to have a lot of information thrown at you as you learn your job. Pay attention, keep a positive attitude, and don't be afraid to ask questions if you are not sure. Congratulations on your first job!! I hope you like it!!First day at McDonalds tomorrow, what should i expect?
When I wake up in the morning my eyes look chinese and i look really bad. My eyes are already on the small side and they look even smaller when I wake up. I hate going to school like this and no makeup helps. Eventually throughout the day they get bigger. In the morning i try rubbing my eye and splashing cold water on it to maybe help them open up but it doesn't work. If I leave my makeup on overnight they don't look as bad, but i don't like leaving my makeup on while i sleep. What are some things I can do to help? Why won't they open up?
MY cousin is starting to work at McDonalds... lol, i said taht i was ganna go to him and demand fifty hamburgers each one different and specialized and HE had to make them...

lol

i guess you should expect to like, be working, and stuff, depends on the place your working though, cashier, stove, window...???
Yes~where good walking shoes as you will be on your feet a lot

don't stop and talk to your *friends and family* as this will be your first day

make a good impression by being alert to the instructions they give you

Relax~if you are a normal intelligence you will be OK~~McDonald's teaches you the basics~~Welcome to the world of fast food and paying taxes~~the first check should be a shocker!@
Never act like a noob. Act like you know what you are talking about. I am 23 years old and worked at McDonalds during college last summer. I started flipping burgers. Expect to work no stop except for 30 minute break. Expect to get yelled at all the time. Expect to want to go to college and get degree so you do not have to work there forever.
O, you should just tell them it's your shift and thats its your first day at McDonlads, lay it out, give it to them strait.

It was a fun job especially grave yard cuz its nothing but horse play and free food lol.
i worked at micky deez a lot, so when you go in just find out where the top manager is and tell them this is your first day and they will put you somewhere to work, its the easiest job ever, and it will be boring sometimes,

i would just play it cool and don't tell them that its your first day. make sure that your just in a fine mellow mood and when something happens where you need someone else to help you at the register, just play it like an every day thing. people are just stupid, inpatient and want food fast.
Well I worked at a Wendys so it couldn't be that different. Just find a manager tell them it's ur first day and they'll put u where u need to be. My first day they put me on fries. Which is da easiest job ever! Ask for it lol. Oh and 2-8 should be so easy. Wait til they put you on lunch rush. GOOD LUCK!
Expect to be confused, nervous and expect to make mistakes. This is common for most new people new to a job and there is nothing wrong with it.

Just relax and have a good first day.
Show up and tell the guy at the front its your first day on the job and he or she will probably bring you back to the manager and it's all going to be a walk in the park from there.
Fat people, children, crying, screaming, whining… people, people that take a long time, stumbles, yelling, parents yelling at kids!!! the usual
yea, thats what you should do...

expect a greasy face lol seriously...n thatll give you pimples...

wow that a lot of dots haha

ummmhmmmm yea just make sure to talk to people (workers), your gonna be spendin a lot of time with them
Don't say it's your first day of work. Half the time they don't care and they just want to order.

Just be aware that there will be a lot of rude customers.
Go in say hi my names Jonathon I'm supposed to be starting today. They'll show you what needs to be done where to go how to do things. And expect to eat free Macey Ds twice a day and get very very fat.
I hate to tell you but my brother quit his job at McDonalds a week after he started. He said the pay was quite low and the atmosphere was pressured (that may have just been at his particular branch however.) Good luck!
just be yourself, courteous to the customers and your coworkers as well. you'll do just fine and congratulations and good luck with everything.
excpect that if you work in the kitchen, you WILL at some point slip and fall on your a$z. Everyone does. Expect to move fast and work hard, but you should make some good co-worker friends there.
tell them it's your first day (duh?)

and apparently if someone sings

bah-bah-bah-bah-baah

as part of contract you have to sing back

i'm loving it!

no joke. it's in your contract. search it. :P
You should expect to be yelled at by disheveled greasy trailer trash customers who have 6 kids in tow with kool-aid stains on their faded t-shirts and mosquito bites all over their legs.
You can expect to get really sweaty and to leave smelling like fries. It's not so bad, and the money is decent.
If theres a problem tell them is your first day, expect doin work since there are fat ppl wanting their food, act normal, dont get nervous, and good luck!!!
what you should expect: H3LL.

have fun. ?
Dress up like the Hamburglar. Everybody loves the Hamburglar. Don't do a Grimace suit unless you want to get beaten.
lots of orders lol uhm quick tip when something is hard for you patience is a virtue kk understanding patience and well good luck hope it goes well :]
It depends what part your working. If your at the cashier then a whole lot of impatient people thinking your going t screw up your order. If making the food. THen a whole lot of fat. Hope I could help
First month you wont be doing much. But once u gain experience they might start giving you other hours like closing or overnight.
