Should I dump my girlfriend because her mom works at McDonalds?

I'm a freshman in college and my girlfriend is a senior in high school and her mom just accepted a job at McDonalds. I'm extremely embarrassed because I eat at McDonalds and I don't want my frat brothers to see her and say to me "Haha your stupid girlfriends mom works at mcdonalds". I attended UIC, btw. Should I dump my girlfriend because her mom works at McDonalds?

The economy is doing really bad if you had not noticed. If you like your girlfriend why would you care where her mom works. It should not matter if you love her. When you get out of college you won't have your frat brothers, if your lucky you will still have her. Don't punish her because you don't want to be embarrassed. At least her mom has a job and is trying to support her family instead of sitting around doing nothing. It's hard times and we need to work together.

Why should it matter to you where your girlfriend's mother works? Your being "extremely embarrassed" says a lot about your character, and it's not good. You shouldn't care what your frat brothers think. Show some respect for your girlfriend and her mother and stop worrying about what other people think. For a college student, you need to grow up a bit. You may be book smart but have very little common sense.
