How do i quit my job at mcdonalds?

The thing is I want to quit my job at McDonald's but haven't found a new one yet, and I want to have as little time in between as possible however I don't want to ask my manager how do i quit when i might still be working there for some months which would be awkward. Dose any one know the procedure for quitting? like do you have to give a 2 week notice or something? anything would help, thank youHow do i quit my job at mcdonalds?
Like rock climbing I never leave a job before I have another secure hold. 2 weeks notice is a courtesy and not too long to be with your manager knowing that you want to leave. He may send you on your way sooner..How do i quit my job at mcdonalds?
Consider that you may need to list this employer as a reference when applying for another job. Sometimes prospective employers check on your past history so you want to leave with a good impression. Compose a gracious letter to the manager praising the working conditions and how much you appreciate that you had an opportunity to work at McDonald's. This is good experience for you. Store a copy of the letter of resignation in a business folder. Some day a prospective employer will want a detailed summary of your work history and all the places you've lived, so the letter is good for documentation purposes. Never just walk out on a job. A manager could put notes in your employment folder which may come back to haunt you.

Letter example:

Date

Dear ................,

1 Thanks for the opportunity..............etc.

2. Reason for leaving. Use your imagination if you don't have a legitimate reason.

3. This is to give you two weeks notice that I'm leaving effective such-n-such date..........................etc.

Cordially yours.

Wait till you get another job before you quit. You give them a letter of resignation with the date you want to finnish ,usually two weeks is enough time to let them know. You could ask for a promotion first. They might give you a better job with more money at Mc Donald's.
When I quit, I just walked out. They are obligated to pay you to that point by law and cannot do anything legally about it. That way you don't have to worry about the awkwardness of quitting
