Have you ever lied about your past work history for a part time job? Ever got caught or denied jobs?

Was it ever obvious by the lack of call backs that they checked you out and found out you were not legit?

Have you ever gotten fired later for them finding out?

Mostly jobs like cashier, McDonalds, Target , restaurants ect.Have you ever lied about your past work history for a part time job? Ever got caught or denied jobs?
Yes I definitely done that, a lot! haha, I've never gotten caught though. A lot of places don't call. If I'm applying at a place that isn't around an old job, I'll but a friends name down as my supervisor and put his/her number for the phone number. You can usually tell if it's a company that will call. If it is, I would either do something like what I said or leave that job off the application. There's also sometimes a place that you can mark "do not contact this employee". And believe me, I know about this stuff, I'm only 21 and have had about 15 jobs in the time span I've been working (since I was 14). Did you get fired from a job because of something like this?Have you ever lied about your past work history for a part time job? Ever got caught or denied jobs?
Why lie about your past work history for an entry level part-time job? That's pretty dumb. They'll probably take you if you have no experience. But if you lie and they catch you, forget ever working in that place.

Employers are looking for people who can be trusted with responsibility. Liars are not trustworthy.Have you ever lied about your past work history for a part time job? Ever got caught or denied jobs?
best answer I've ever seen on an application was under references this guy put down Judge Wopner from the peoples court.

and the guy got hired.
I did lie once to get a job. I was very desperate. It worked out for me. I said I had experience on the resume that I actually did not have. I made the experience be in a foreign country with a foreign language so they were not likely to check it out. I could speak the language. I was desperate to feed my family and get housing. I wouldn't do it again, but I don't question the morality of it given the situation I was in.

You might have trouble getting hired if they actually check it out. Larger chains probably will.

But if you get a job, just keep your mouth SHUT once you get the job and they won't go back and check once you're hired. Just stay quiet when people start talking about their past work history and be nonspecific when people ask you about yours. Say something, but just make it kind of general.
