Applied for a job at McDonalds and got a OJE? What is it and is it easy?

Well i applied for a job at Mcdonalds and they email me saying I now have a 15 minutes OJE with a 30 minutes or so interview, I was wondering what an OJE is and what will be expected of me, I have never worked as of yet so I will probably be terrible at it,

What will they expect me to do?

What should i wear, Just Shoes, Black tousers and a shirt?Applied for a job at McDonalds and got a OJE? What is it and is it easy?
An OJE is On the Job Evaluation. They want to see how you react in the actual environment you might be working in.

You'll probably greet customers, pass on orders etc. They want to see if you have good customer service skills (polite, smiling, friendly tone of voice) and want to see if you can work in a team (can you listen to others, reply back politely, do what you are asked to do.)

The interview will probably be the standard questions of what experience do you have (if you have none use examples of charity work, somethgn over and above your school work like plays, fund raising etc), why do you want the job, what would you like to do there etc.

Your outfit sounds finbe as long as it is smart.

Good luck.Applied for a job at McDonalds and got a OJE? What is it and is it easy?
Hi Joey,

An OJE stands for On Job Evaluation. They're likely to get you to do some simple tasks, maybe handing over orders to customers, showing you're polite and courteous, and can be confident, that sort of thing. They wouldn't ask you to do anything really complicated so don't worry too much about that.

At the interview they might ask you what you know about McDonalds (Do a little research on their website, it probably has a career section with some info), what you expect the job to entail, make sure to mention offering excellent customer service, keeping up hygeine standards, working in a team. Teamwork is really important to them. They will also want to know that you are flexible and adaptable as shifts change all the time, plus that you are enthusiastic, want to learn and would be open to self-development within the company.

Make sure to prepare a couple of questions to ask them. Maybe ask the interviewer what they enjoy most about working for the company, what the team structure is, whether development opportunities are management or team leader led or if employees are able to access extra training themselves. At the end of the interview ask them if there are any issues from your answers that they would like to discuss further before you conclude.

Good luck.Applied for a job at McDonalds and got a OJE? What is it and is it easy?
You aren't alone in asking this - lots of help/answers from those who have been through the process if you just Google on McDonalds OJE (On Job Experience).

Good luck (and of course you won't be terrible; just inexperienced).
