How can I get a job at McDonalds or somethings...I mean it's definately not gonna me a lifetime job I just need some extra money right now. I'm fourteen, I go to a prep school and I have straight A's do you think I have a chance to get a job there. to be employed legally the age is 14

but most McDonald's are franchise restaurants as are most national chain restaurants so the hiring age will be set by the employers policy and some(not most) won't hire under 16.

so the best thing to do is apply the worse that can happen is you do not get the job.

when you go to apply dress neat, clean, and appropriately for the business, be polite and ask for an application and the appropriate time to bring it back. you will need references so talk to teachers, clergy, coaches, anyone you have done casual labor for, friends parents etcetera be sure to ask if you can use them as a reference and let them know to expect calls from prospective employers.

at 14 or older you can work in an:

office,

grocery store,

retail store,

restaurant,

lodging facilities,

movie theater,

baseball park,

municipal parks(city or county),

amusement park, or

gasoline service station just to name a few鈥︹€︹€︹€︹€︹€?br>
