Has anyone worked 2 full time jobs for a short time? How did you deal with it?

I'm 21 and need to buy a car I already have $1600 saved, but I wanna get a job at McDonald's to have $6000 total in 5 months. I really need a car because mine is on its last leg(198,000 miles) and lots of little break downs. Is it really hard to work two jobs?Has anyone worked 2 full time jobs for a short time? How did you deal with it?
I give you a thumbs up for wanting to pay cash for a car. I think it's awesome. I am sure you can do this for a short amount of time. At 21, you can do just about anything, and 5 months is not very long.

I only did 1 fulltime and 1 parttime job for a while, but I also had Type 1 diabetes and some complications from that. It was worth it to me to get rid of my debt (that was my reason). I'm sure when you lay out the $6000 instead of paying 5 years on a car loan ,it will be worth it to you.

Enjpy the car!Has anyone worked 2 full time jobs for a short time? How did you deal with it?
Yes, it is very difficult. In part it depends on having 2 jobs both of which allow you the ability to predict your schedule well enough to work at another job at the same time.

The closest I came to working at 2 jobs FT was when I worked at one FT job days and another job at McD's where I averaged 20 evening hours during the week and then 2 8-hr days on Saturday and Sunday. That was very close to another 40 hours. I only lasted at that for about 3 months, and was exhausted and sick all the time.

Hopefully you can find a better solution. Is it possible to finance the car?Has anyone worked 2 full time jobs for a short time? How did you deal with it?
I did it for about a year to help pay off hospital bills. You have to make sure both your jobs schedules will always work. You don't want to skip one because you are working at the other. Just know that you will not have time to do anything...at all except work and sleep. It is horrible really, but if you only have to do it for 5 months it won't be so bad. Just be prepared to have no life for those 5 months because you will want to rest as much as you can when you aren't doing things like grocery shopping or laundry.
