im 17, i work at target, since july of 2007, and worked at McDonalds through April 2007. and i paid Federal income taxes in both jobs, so if the proposal is passed, will i get $600?If i paid federal income taxes through my jobs in 2007, do i get the $600 tax rebate?
If you are claimed as a dependent, your parents will be eligible for the additional $300 rebate for you as a dependent child.
You would be eligible to receive a rebate of up to $600 if you paid that much in Federal Income Tax. If you only paid $350 in taxes (less than the $600 rebate limit), you only get back $350.
If you had over $3000 in income, you would qualify for the $300 minimum.
While the rebate depends on your 2007 income, it is actually a rebate toward your 2008 taxes. According to the proposed plan, in 2008, taxes would be cut from 10 percent to zero percent on the first $6,000 dollars of taxable income for individual taxpayers.
It's like a one time tax cut for 2008, but you get the rebate now instead of waiting to file your 2008 taxes.
Because this is an advance payment on your 2008 taxes, your refund next year could be more (or less!) depending on your 2008 income.
Nothing has passed Congress yet, so all details are subject to change. Check out the referenced sites below for more info.
That would depend on what the proposal is that ends up being passed. Since that isn't finalized, there's no way to say whether or not you'll get anything. If i paid federal income taxes through my jobs in 2007, do i get the $600 tax rebate?
You most likely are claimed as a dependent on your parent's income tax. In that case you would probably not get the rebate. The specifics aren't out because the proposal has not passed yet.
The other qualifier is that you need to have at least $3,000 in earned income to qualify.

Read all about it.If i paid federal income taxes through my jobs in 2007, do i get the $600 tax rebate?
They're still working on the proposal, and it might not happen at all. It sounds like, if you earned at least $3,000 last year, you should get the "rebate." But getting that money now will probably affect how much you get back (or have to pay) next year.

What kind of jobs are available at the age of 16?
I'm going to get my GCSE results soon, and i was just wondering if theres any decently paid jobs i could go into to make a bit of extra money? I don't want to work in mcdonalds or anything like that, its crapppp.
I'm a pretty responsible guy so i can be trusted, but everyone has this little stereotype going round these days about people my age that we're all stupid and moronic.
Any suggestions? What kind of jobs are available at the age of 16?
Being a previous manager, I can attest to that stereotype. But On the other hand, I was once in your shoes. I started working at Mcdonald's, and when I gained enough exp. I then moved to a bookstore.
The bookstore was the best and they paid me highest first.
Also try supermarkets (Trader Joe's/Safeway), Fedex/UPS, and Starbucks - which give you a chance to move up after a certain amount of time. Not many people will take you if you are a minor because of hour restrictions and lack of experience. But if you are smart, a good worker, and you show them your desire to work, then that's really all you need to win them over. As with every stereotype there is an exception.
Good luck!
Well there's shop work which isn't as bad as mcdonalds. I'm 17 and work for sainsbury, I get 拢4.88 an hour but I may get a bit more than you as I'm older and have A-Levels and I live in inner city London (51p more an hour)
There's also cafes, paper rounds, some offices hire 'coffee boys/girls', babysitting, bar work (that doesn't involve selling alcohol, some leisure parks hire 16 year olds, Thorpe park, swimming baths, Butlins.
There are also some websites that pay you to take surveys, but trust me; this really isn't worth it.
Also, gumtree is pretty good for finding Saturday jobs.
Hope you find something, and I hope this is more relevent as I actually live in the UK.What kind of jobs are available at the age of 16?
Not a whole lot. More oppertunities arise once you turn 18 and even more after that after your 21.
It doesnt matter how responsible you are or arent. Bottom line is that your 16 and have no formal work experience or skills to speak of from an employers point of view. Your going to have to prove your worth just like everyone else.
My first job was working as a hostess for a resturant and it was basically for a quarter over minimum wage. You can work in a resturant that doesnt serve alcohol (18+ where I am)as a waiter or be a host. Retail shops although some are 18+ again. Grocery stores, cashier spots pay decent. Fast food is always open. Your going to be pretty limited really.
with the economy today, take what you can get, mcdonalds or otherwise. You're a kid. Go around your area and fill out applications, then depending on how much you want to work and need money, you take what you can get.
pretty much any fast food place will hire kids that are 16.
other that that, ...not much. Unless you do stuff around neighborhood, lawnmowing, ....errands, ....babysitting, ...snow shoveling, whatever.
and by the way, ? most places dont really care how "smart" you are , a 16 yr old, is a 16 yr old. What kind of jobs are available at the age of 16?
Hi there,
I鈥檝e been a member of a site called Treasure Trooper for a while, and it鈥檚 great. You get paid to complete offers and surveys, and you can also receive a certain amount of cash back from online stores when you buy from them through a link from Treasure Trooper. There are monthly Treasure Hunts, and there are always lots of competitions on the forums and on the main site. You can get paid via PayPal, or through a cheque, and the best part of all of this is that it鈥檚 totally FREE.
For more information check out my Squidoo page about Treasure Trooper:

Show them your smart, go in with a resume and be polite and well dressed. Try applying at places like car dealerships (for the inside office stuff) or an insurance company or even the movie theatre. You could become a manager fast if you work hard and show them your not just another 16 year old kid. Good luck!
i'm thirteen and i have a job for some money for college and what i do is i referee sports. it sounds really stupid, but you actually make pretty good money. you can pretty much do it for any sport that you like. i do it or soccer, and i really enjoyed it.

Mostly everything in the field of food service is open to sixteen year olds. Also, try your local mall or any shopping centers, there are usually openings near the end of summer for jobs.
See link below.
Honestly, ask around relatives and friends/friends of the family, see if they know anyone who has anything for you. Not many random employers want to hire a 16 year old for a "good" job. Good luck.

Also, I believe every job is what you make of it. We can happily do our work or we can drag our feet and be determined to hate it, its our choice! Every job has those parts we do not like as well, but if we make up our mind to make our self happy, then we are half way there! Is getting a job at mcdonalds a good idea?

What kind of Jobs DONT do Record Checks on people?
I have a NJ 2C:39-5 Conviction and im looking for work. I worked at McDonalds as a Cashier and id like to again, i did well.
Any Jobs i can get in this circumstance?
NJ = "3rd Degree Crime," Can mean whatever it wants...
Im going to be 28 this year. Thanks. What kind of Jobs DONT do Record Checks on people?
Get a job such as McDonalds, Wal Mart for right now. In the meantime learn a trade. I know a few people plumber, mechanic, carpenter and mason all of who have a criminal record and all of whom make more than 60K a year.
Six FlagsWhat kind of Jobs DONT do Record Checks on people?
A job you would never want!
More seriously, most virtual assistant jobs and jobs offered by small companies. Check Craigslist.

most fastfood/restaurant places aren't going to do background checks on you unless you straight applied for management...being a waiter is the easiest job to get..I'm in College right now and a waiter..half the people who work with me have bad things on their record and couldn't get a job elsewhere...you could look into that
Quick, minimum wage or low wage jobs you can get from temporary agencies...not reputable one's but the kind that will pay you the same day...they don't even verify employment history...just a warm body w/ two hands is all they want. Look up the website for Labor Ready. You can at least get a chance to work for honest pay.
Can you work at McDonald's again?
My son has some convictions and has worked at several foodservice establishments.
Many construction people have criminal histories.
well i don't know the unlawful possession of a weapon is serious and yes most places do checks
Not everyone checks records, look for a job in manufacturing they are good with that and if you take the job seriously and put in hard work and take some college classes you can excel in the company. Good Luck
I don't know any specific jobs but you just have to find one that is "under the table" which means that they don't check backgrounds, they don't report that you even work there, and they pay you in cash without doing any taxes at all. There are some here in MA but I'm not sure about connecticut. All I can think of offhand is babysitting or dog walking or something like that but I'm sure that there is more around that you could find. Usually lots of small businesses are under the table so that they don't have to report who works for them so it is good for everybody. I worked at a corn stand that was under the table and i have also babysat but I'm sure that you can find something.
I would think it would be a job with little customer contact and little access to people's property. I am thinking things like outdoor construction, outdoor maintanence (parks, roadwork, landscaping, etc...)
Maybe you should just interview for a job and be honest, tell them what you did and that your trying to change and you need a good job to rebuild your life

Whats the pay for mcdonalds part time?
im 15, i just wondered of applying for a job at mcdonalds. whats the pay? and does it increase?Whats the pay for mcdonalds part time?
You will get minimum wages that will increase with time.
Pay at McDonald's begins at minimum wage. If you are 15, you may not be allowed to work in your state. Most states set the minumum working age at 16. See your state's Department of Labor website for more information.Whats the pay for mcdonalds part time?
All pay increases over time, but At a place like McDonald's man its minimum wage. I don't know if its different in certain areas, but its about 8.50 where I live. But im sure you can do better, Vons bag boy is better.
McDonald's usually start their employees out at minimum wage %26amp; get raises. Most states will not allow anyone younger that 16 yrs. old to were in fast food places. You may want to check with your state what the minimum age is.Whats the pay for mcdonalds part time?

A babysitter...What jobs would be good for Hispanic people that don't have papers?
try working on becoming an actual citizen. but a lot of construction businesses would hire the guys. You could try a mexican restaurant or something like that because I doubt you could get work at any chain restaurant. They usually require a social security number. There are ways but you're already illegal anyway so I wouldn't advise you to keep up with the illegal activity.

I am 14 and I have a job interview tomorrow. I know I should bring my resume, however do I need to bring a profile of my achievements? If so, what should I include in there? Thanks! ^_^What should I bring to my job-interview at McDonalds?
You probably don't even need a resume. As long as you're a competant young adult who can act professional then you're all set. Do bring two forms of ID withe at least one being picture ID, and your social security number as well. If it makes you feel more confident practice interview questions with someone. Guarentee they're going to ask something like "Why do you want to work here?" and "Give me an example of when you had to work on a team."What should I bring to my job-interview at McDonalds?
Haha, no! Just a resume should be fine. What should I bring to my job-interview at McDonalds?
mcdonalds will likely hire anyone.
just practice some interveiw questions like:
Why should we hire you over someone else?
or
What makes you qualified to do this job?

Im 15 and want a job at Mcdonalds...do I really want it? Is it a good job to have?
Yea so 15 and a female. I have had a job working as a cashier before nd loved it. But idk if mcdonalds will be the same or if Ill like it. I worked at chick fil a before.Im 15 and want a job at Mcdonalds...do I really want it? Is it a good job to have?
Depends on the crew you work with and the management team.
its a great job i work there, Great Hours!!
its one of the few places that are still hiring in this horrible economy
you had better be able to work in a very fast pace environment.
oh and the first couple of weeks are HORRIBLE!
i personally love working at McDonald's besides the fact that its known as one of the most embarrassing places to work.Im 15 and want a job at Mcdonalds...do I really want it? Is it a good job to have?
I've heard that a job at such a fast-paced place can look great on college resumes. I met a special ed teacher that said she once had a job there, and she said it was the most difficult job she ever had.
I don't know how fun it is, but it would be challenging and a good experience in the long run.
Good for you! A little extra cash is good huh? You are learning life long skills in FF, that you will be able to take to your career. Employers look highly upon a 'base' of work ethics. FF will always be impressive as you learn organization, cleanliness, quality, people skills, etc.. Good luck!Im 15 and want a job at Mcdonalds...do I really want it? Is it a good job to have?
wellll i dont work butttt, i thinkkkk that working at Mcdonalds is fine, but a lot of people might tease you about it. You might want to get a job at like the mall or something, but if you dont care what people say and Mcdonalds is what you wanna do go for it.
i have worked at wendys before...if u hate dumb people ask for a position as like a cook making burgers and fries. if u like to be friendly to EVERYONE then cashier is for you. the customer is always right and thats why i had to work in the back because i hate dumb people. lol good luck
You really should try to find somewhere else to work like target, walmart or your local supermarket
Fast food is a Degrading job.
But if you have no other option then take the job at mcdonalds.
You might want to maybe try to get a job at Staples or a better restaurant. A job at Staples would look more prestigious than working at McD's.
yes, especially if the economy gets worse, mcdonalds will become busier, and right now any job is worth keeping!
I don't know why but people say that working at McDonalds is the lamest job. Cashier isn't that bad.
its good to work at your age. you'll like and get the hang of it in no time
good luck
krystal m really want's it guys.
well since u have experience in fast food industry ur probably use to it. I know I couldn't work there, but good luck.

I got job at mcdonalds about a week ago and they still havent called me yet to tell me when i start?
if anyone works at mcdonalds can you tell me how long it was before they got back to youI got job at mcdonalds about a week ago and they still havent called me yet to tell me when i start?
give a call at mcdonolds
They should have called you by now. The same thing happened to me when I got hired. I finally asked them, and it turned out they had "forgotten" to schedule training shifts for me, and they had "forgotten" to let me know when I was working.
In your case, just call them, ask to speak to the person who interviewed you if possible. Tell them who you are, and let them know that you would like to know when your first shift is.I got job at mcdonalds about a week ago and they still havent called me yet to tell me when i start?
Sometimes it takes a little while for things to get sorted out when hiring a new employee. They may need to re-work the schedule, and find times for you to be trained.
I'd say a week is plenty enough time to wait, I'd give them a call and ask them if they have an idea of when you might be starting. It also will show them that you take initiative. :)
Maybe they change thier minds, or there is a problem with the computers. But anyways, call them back and ask them yourself when you start, otherwise they might never call you back, and of course you will have to go through trainning. Don't let them make the first move, you call them, because you could be finding yourself waiting a long time.I got job at mcdonalds about a week ago and they still havent called me yet to tell me when i start?
Call and ask to speak to manager or person who hired you. Ask them if they placed you on schedule yet and when you will start. Sometimes they hire when they know an employee is leaving, and then when that person leaves, they call new hire. Never hesitate to call and check in with new boss.
I would start looking for another job. Any job that starts off like that is not a good sign-I've had a similar experience and it doesn't get better. They hired you but have not told you when to start-how unprofessional! Imagine payday, will they forget that too? Whatever you decide to do Good luck to you.
They may do multiple hirings and train people at the same time. Call to get an approximate date and then you're not chewing yourself up anticipating a call. Be friendly and ask how the hiring is going. Tell them you're just checking in to make sure you didn't miss a call. You look and sound good and they will appreciate it.

First of all, If you have done your pre-application, and your interview, you probably need to give them a call to reconfirm to them that you are still are interested in working there. Call and bug them. You need a job now, not later.
Dont let them call you, call them to get ready for your job or go into the Resturant and ask a McManager
You shold call or start looking for another job if they did not call back after a few day
You should call the store that hired you and ask.
Stop by and ask what is going on.
I would call them to see what is going on.
yeah maybe you should call.

Are the people with low income jobs considered slaves in now times?
if you could compare jobs now like McDonald's- to other low income jobs in past societies and countries- like the people that build pyramids
my question is: are we considered slaves with cheap labor? when all celebrities are making the $$$Are the people with low income jobs considered slaves in now times?
In the USA there is a mind set by half the country that it is good for people to have to work for little %26amp; pay much for things like gasoline. One half of the country wants things to be fair...A person becomes a slave because of their thoughts. They are doing the best they can do but can't see any possibilites....I decided to work at a hospital last year in the house cleaning dept. When I quit after 6 months because the work load was tremedous, the people were back stabbers, they wouldn't give me a raise %26amp; I was risking disease, etc....I have a really good way of manifesting what I want in life. I tried to get the people to work together to make the job nicer but they were hateful to each other. So they were slaves but refused to make any changes to improve. I watched people who said they would go back to school to get out of the dept. end up giving up on doing that. They were too exhausted to go to school after running around for 8 hrs. a day. They were constantly criticized %26amp; it was a horrible environment. I needed to have a snack in the afternoon %26amp; by blood sugar level got so low one day I was passing out while working in an emergency dept.!!!! but I wasn't allowed to stop for a bite to eat...I was free to leave but the people I left behind don't believe they are. They don't know how they would pay their bills. They don't know where they would go %26amp; work that would be any better...I coached one person there %26amp; she got a job near her house which was important to her because her car is so old...She gave her 2 weeks notice. The people told her all kinds of reasons why the new job wouldn't work out...Well, she worked about 2 days %26amp; they were right...she let others put something in her mind to make her feel she was stuck %26amp; had to stay at the hospital job. They will quit there %26amp; they end up coming back. So in a sense this people are slaves. If we look deeper at it though. They are the power %26amp; control of their lives. If the person I was helping really was determined to move up she would have. The new job could have allowed her more time to think clearly cause it was a quiet job %26amp; she could have thought her way to an even better job but she was a slave to her thoughts...there are some greedy rich in this country who are well aware of this %26amp; want to oppress people so this has become worst in the past few years because they are getting more support.
The answer is yes --only for them who are mean by heart %26amp; blind of
truth . For any sensible person or any human being(to be more specific) it is a sin to think like this! Are the people with low income jobs considered slaves in now times?
No they are not slaves. The difference is freedom of choice. . .they have a choice to better themselves and get a better paying job. Slaves, serfs, peons, all had no choice in the matter. . .they were either born or forced into it.
I know people who are filthy rich, yet they are slaves to their riches. They can't enjoy their life , their only concern is how to acquire more and more money and products....
Freedom is an inner situation. Even if the income is low, a man can feel free to live their life, enjoy the little joys of life, love, laugh, go places even if it is not Hawaii... No one can be slave if their heart , soul and mind are free. Are the people with low income jobs considered slaves in now times?
I don't think so... please do not develop such thinking... in today's world no one is slave to any one!! If your current job is making you think like this please quit the job as quickly as possible... but kindly ensure you have another job with you before you quit....
On the side note career planning is very for everyone everywhere... see if you can spend some time on some career planning... try all this... who knows you may also make lots of $$$$$
A long time ago, there was one royal family, and ALL the villagers were effectively their slaves...
Is this really a philosophy question?!
No. Anyone with a low income job in the developed world may not be able to afford a lot of luxuries, but are still far better off than people in under-developed areas of the world. Without people who are forced to work for pennies, the lifestyle most Americans enjoy would not be possible. It's more like economic pillars of people supporting one another, and some are unfortunate enough to be placed at the bottom.

How to apply for a job at an un-opened McDonalds?
well there's a new McDonalds opening down the street from where I live but it hasn't opened yet so how can i go ahead and apply for a job there before other people try and do it.How to apply for a job at an un-opened McDonalds?
Go to their website and fill out the online application. Or go to another store in that town and fill one out and the box that asks if you are willing to transfer check yes. You might even go as far as filling your application out and when you take it up there ask the manager how you could be sure it gets to the GM at the new store.batman games for kids

Can I wear nice Jeans and a High School sweatshirt ti a mcdonalds interview?
I have a job interview at the mcdonalds in the town over.
I want to wear nice american eagle jeans and a High School team sweatshirt that is for the town im interviewing in, it was 50 bucks and is super nice.
Would this be OK for an interview? I think dress pants and a button down shirt is a tad dressy for mcdonalds.
thanks! Can I wear nice Jeans and a High School sweatshirt ti a mcdonalds interview?
Oh yes, as long as you don't look sloppy it's fine. Going all-out JUST for Mickey D's is unnecessary, and far too over-the-top. If your shoes are clean, the clothes don't clash, and you have nice accessories that match plus good hygiene, you're all set.Can I wear nice Jeans and a High School sweatshirt ti a mcdonalds interview?
The jeans would be fine, but probably wear a nice sweater or a cardigan instead of a sweatshirt. You still want to look professional even though it's mcdonalds. Can I wear nice Jeans and a High School sweatshirt ti a mcdonalds interview?
Wear a polo not a sweatshirt or a cardigan like someone else said
Sounds good to me!

Where can i apply for a good job( sorry mcdonalds, but not a crappy job)?oh and i'm only 14.?
well, not really. i'm 14 in 11 days. i live in Raleigh, NC, usa and i heard that in 11 days i can start working for a salary. i've crossed out neiborhood jobs like walking the dog and mowing lawns. can i apply at this age, and where? will the company pay me less than adults just because i'm a teenager? help!Where can i apply for a good job( sorry mcdonalds, but not a crappy job)?oh and i'm only 14.?
Can't work fast food because there is a minimum age for insurance purposes to work near any cooking appliances. You also can't work any gas station because you are not old enough to sell alcohol. You can try department stores but with the way this economy is you're not likely to get hired there either. There are literally hundreds of applications for each opening filled with many adults that will work all hours of the night while a child only 14 like yourself can only work certain hours, and has tons of restrictions. Basically, wait till you are 16.
14 Minimum age for employment in specified occupations outside of school hours for limited periods of time each day and each week.
16 BASIC MINIMUM AGE FOR EMPLOYMENT. At 16 years of age, youth may be employed for unlimited hours in any occupation other than one declared to be hazardous by the SOL
Employees under 20 years of age may be paid $4.25 per hour during their first consecutive 90 calendar days of employment with an employer.
Certain full-time students, student learners, apprentices and workers with disabilities may be paid less than the minimum wage -Dept of Labor
Oh and btw, Chik FilA is just as "crappy" (by which I take it you mean Service Industry?) as MacDonalds.
Nowhere. You're being too picky and unrealistic. Back in my day I cut 5 lawns each weekend with rusty old scissors my dad loaned to me with 50% interest.
No where hires until you are 16

How to put freelance jobs on resume?
I've done freelance jobs before and I think I should put it on my resume, since the only "real job" I've had was working for McDonalds.
Anyway, I did some web graphics and web site layouts (coding and graphics) for individual people. I never worked for a company, it was just people advertising my work by word of mouth locally.
How do I go about putting this on my resume? How would I word it? Would it go under "work experience" or "accomplishments"?
Thanks in advanceHow to put freelance jobs on resume?
Hello hurrdurr :
Think a little bigger. Your experience may be better suited in a CV (curriculum Vitae). These outline a breadth of experience and serve to show what you have done as opposed to a resume that is good for outlining if you are experienced and qualified for a specific job. In either case, be sure to be thorough and to enumerate how what you did gave value to your client/boss of the assignment/job you were a part of completing. Bear in mind McDonald's and your clients each had something to gain by selecting you as opposed to your constituents.
McDonalds is a name but you also have a name and reputation. McDonald's established themselves selling hamburgers, hurrdurr is establishing him/herself to be "a resourceful web-design and graphics design consultant" "with a reputation of excellent work, client relations and continuous improvement". Your name, as opposed to McDonald's', is what really matters so be sure to include a few of your happy clients as references so whoever is hiring you can hear how great you were with them and get that much more reason to bring you on to their team.
I have linked to a great video showing how to do this below. It is called "Developing Your Value Proposition" and answers in more detail what steps to take when writing your value proposition (or resume - whatever you call it), so that the reader will understand what benefit they will have by hiring you in terms of resourcefulness, savings, time, money, etc.

Using the title "Web Graphics Design, Freelance" just like a paid job in work experience, describe the work and say that samples are available upon request. You don't need to mention that you weren't paid for the work, that's between you and the tax department. You can mention that you got the work by word of mouth, it speaks of your reputation.

How is an entry-level position at Mcdonalds as a first job?
I'm 17 and this is my first job. What can I expect? I'm terrible at math, will that be a challenge at the register? I'm otherwise pretty competent. ThanksHow is an entry-level position at Mcdonalds as a first job?
I am 16 and I have worked at McDonald's over a year now. At first, I didn't really enjoy it because it seemed like there was so much to learn and the people their got frustrated with me. (I live in Australia). Now I am trained in the Cafe section and am a crew trainer and I have made so many friends and it is actually good fun! Although long hours standing on your feet is always a challenge. Being terrible at math is no issue, the cash register tells you how much money you need to give the costumer. Just take care insuring you give the correct change :)How is an entry-level position at Mcdonalds as a first job?
At McDonalds, the cash register tells you how much change you need to return to the customer. As long as you know how to count the money, you should not have any problem. We all had our first job experience. This is part of our life history.fondue

I have a Job Interview tomorrow at McDonalds. The lady told me to go in between 9 and 3?
What time should I go in at? My friend who works at the McDonalds on the other side of the city, they told him a specific time.I have a Job Interview tomorrow at McDonalds. The lady told me to go in between 9 and 3?
they gave you an open time slot....looks better the earlier you are....like you cared to show up..
10am would be best ..gives them time to get rollin and time enough to talk to you before they
get slammed for lunch hour; also you'll have it outta the way yourself by gettin it done earlyI have a Job Interview tomorrow at McDonalds. The lady told me to go in between 9 and 3?
I would go around at 10 am that way they know you're ready and actually want this job, I had my interview today and if your wondering about the questions they ask you simple ones like tell me about your job experience, tell me about yourself, and why do you want to work here very common sense if you ask me, they told me that they will call me during a week if i do get hired. hopefully God makes this opportunity for me and get the job at McDonalds, and for you good luck tomorrow and remember to have a straight eye contact and smile!I have a Job Interview tomorrow at McDonalds. The lady told me to go in between 9 and 3?
most likely 9-3 is when the manager will be there. My advice is 10 or 10;30. 11-2 is usually lunch, somewhere in there, so thats' bad, and right before the manager gets off is also bad. Getting there a while after the person gets there is best.
Try and avoid rush hour(s)... I would go between 10-11AM, or 2-3PM...

How many welfare recipients applied for jobs with McDonald's the other day?
None why would they we we provide for them - no need to work when you get supported by the govt. How many welfare recipients applied for jobs with McDonald's the other day?
Only the one in Cleveland that ran over McDonald's workers with her car when she wasn't hired because you actually have to be able to read at a 2nd grade level to work there. Not to get a Driver's License from our government however. Ain't irony great?
I think about 6 total. Why work for minimum wages when you can get more staying home. How many welfare recipients applied for jobs with McDonald's the other day?

I have a mcdonalds job interview?
ok i am 14 i have a job interview at mcdonalds i live in brisbane australia.
i am gonna wear a black shirt and dark jeans is that okay?
i was wondering what questions they askI have a mcdonalds job interview?
I've recently been an asst. mgr at McDonalds and tobe honest what you wear to the interview really doesn't matter. It all counts on how you present yourself. I've hired plenty of "shady" looking people and they have turned out to be the greatest employees ever. To me, when I was hiring as long as your clean and smell good I didn't discriminate b/c of the style of clothes you wore. Wear whatever you feel, just be confident with it and be CLEAN and you should be all set!I have a mcdonalds job interview?
try to wear a light colored shirt/top. that'll look a little more professional.

I have a job interview at McDonalds, does anyone here know what kind of thing I should wear?
Just wondering for example...Shirt, tie, jeans, trousers.I have a job interview at McDonalds, does anyone here know what kind of thing I should wear?
A nice pair of trousers and shirt should do
a button up shirt with some black dockersI have a job interview at McDonalds, does anyone here know what kind of thing I should wear?
What I've heard is that one should dress "one notch up" from the way you would dress on the job you want. So trousers/slacks (but not jeans) and a collared shirt would be good. Maybe a tie if you're applying for management?
Dress neat and with clothes that are clean, not ripped, and fit well. Trousers, an ironed shirt and a tie are perfect.
Also make sure you are well-groomed, especially your hair (cut short or tied back) and hands (clean with short nails!). This matters because the people you serve will want you to be clean and long nails are gross when you work with food.I have a job interview at McDonalds, does anyone here know what kind of thing I should wear?
Depends of the position you are applying for. If it just the normal level jobs, I would recommend business causal (tucked in polo shirt, khakis, dress shoes). If it is for a manager position or something higher up, then a suit would be appropriate.

What does a mcdonalds crew member actually do?
i just applied to mcdonalds, whatdo they usually start you off doing? is there a lot of rotating jobs, or are you mainly doing the same thing all the time?
oh and...
can a 16year old cook at mcdonalds? What does a mcdonalds crew member actually do?
Its been a long time since I have worked at Mc D's , so I will reflect for a moment. Just remember that this occupation is going to be what you make of it. You can be part of clean-up, food prep, fry cook or fryer cook, sandwich or order maker, front line or drive thru cashier. A lot of the management got thier start right where you have applied, entry level.
I am pretty sure you have to be seventeen to start cooking, but I may be wrong. If you cannot cook they will teach you the front counter and how to hand the food out the window to the customers. You will also end up cleaning a lot since you are the new person. If you are cooking age you will most likely learn fries. After that you will learn fried products, chicken nuggets, mcchicken, selects, fish, etc.. Than you will learn how to toast the buns.(This is very very easy, but boring) After that they will either teach you breakfast or they will send you to the sandwich assembly. This will take you at least four to five months to learn everything. I quit McDonald's yesturday it was the worst job ever, but good luck. What does a mcdonalds crew member actually do?
What you will do if hired is dependable. You asked if a 16 year old can cook, I'm guessing that means you are 16.
If you are than you can do quite a bit. You have to be at least 16 to go into the freezers, and work with the fryers.
I don't know where you are located, but your ability to be on the grills is up in the air. Where I work now, in North Dakota, they let 16 year olds cook the meat. In Indiana where I used to work you had to be 18 to work on the grill.
There are some people who are floaters, and are trained in all areas. Other people are strictly trained in one area. I myself am trained in all areas of the store. I can cook, or work the front/drive thru.
If you get called in for an interview tell them what you'd be interested in.
Good Luck!
i work at McDonald's and no it depends where you work at 4 months of working there i learned how do to everything and was promoted by my 5th month at 16, i was legally not aloud to work on the grill till 18 so they might not let you till your 18 depending if its corporate or private owned. you might start off on the register or drive Thur presenter which is handing out food im not sure cause i started off in the grill area and i was 16 and a girl usually they start girls on register and boys in the grill good luckWhat does a mcdonalds crew member actually do?
all they do is sit around and tell joke about you

I have a Interview tomorrow at McDonalds, what are some of the questions they ask?
I have my first ever Job interview at McDonalds and I want to know what type of Questions they ask and how to answer them.I have a Interview tomorrow at McDonalds, what are some of the questions they ask?
They will you ask your availability. They'll ask if you're good with people. If you can handle a lot going on at once. If you are okay with the dress code, and you'll need to buy non slip shoes. Probably how well you know their menu. Just basic questions.
And I've heard you get a free meal when you have an interview.I have a Interview tomorrow at McDonalds, what are some of the questions they ask?
Actual interview questions:
Why is a manhole cover round?
If you had an infinite supply of water and a 5 quart and 3 quart pail, how would you measure exactly 4 quarts?
Imagine an analog clock set to 12 o'clock. Note that the hour and minute hands overlap. How many times each day do both the hour and minute hands overlap? How would you determine the exact times of the day that this occurs?
Explain a scenario for testing a salt shaker.
If you are going to receive an award in 5 years, what is it for and who is the audience?
OK - well those are interview questions from actual Microsoft interviews...but you never know, they may ask you some :)I have a Interview tomorrow at McDonalds, what are some of the questions they ask?

Should i get a job at Mcdonalds when im 17?
i be 17 next year
i working with my dad (my boss) for about 6 mooths now but
im thinking of getting a job at mcdonalds next year instead of building
i want to get a job at mcdonalds next year
what is it like working at Mcdonalds? is it hard or easy?
how much wages do you get payed per hour?
shall i?????Should i get a job at Mcdonalds when im 17?
It's a pretty easy job. My brother works there and says sometimes it's so easy it's boring. You will probably hate the food after working there a month. Working with your dad building is probably way better money. At your age you will probably make minimum wage or close to it. My brother has gotten a few raises while being there but what really is 20 cents gonna do. They also have opportunity for you to move up. They have something called a junior manager. It might be worth a try if you want to do something new. Worst comes to worst just quit and go back to working for your dad. Good luck
wages is usually minimum wage with benefits, its still good because it still pays into social security for when you retire even if you switch jobs and will help find a better job later on. because it's like they don't want to hire if you don't have experience but cant get experience if you don't get a jobShould i get a job at Mcdonalds when im 17?

What kind of jobs pay for 12-13 year olds?
Jobs like McDonalds, Taco Bell and Macys, JcPenneys jobs at places that are well known please reply quickly THANK YOU!!!!!! Doesn't have to be one of the examples above....What kind of jobs pay for 12-13 year olds?
well wen u turn 14 there is a work license you can get so you can work wherever! all you need to do is ask ur mom or dad and they will take you to the court house and get your work license! good luck!
Unfortunately, most jobs at business establishments require the person to be at least 16 years of age and have 'working papers' in which one's parents sign and help to complete the documents verifying the person's age and such. At 12 or 13, one may consider jobs such as babysitting (please Only consider jobs by a family friend or a trusted neighbor), mowing neighbors' lawns, washing their cars, shoveling snow, walking neighbors' (tame) dogs, sweeping their driveways. If taking on jobs such as washing cars or mowing lawns, please do the money transactions outside of the "employer's" house as it should be a lot safer.
Just a word to the wise to please avoid those online/'work-at-home' jobs as most are a scam especially if asking for money upfront or for personal information which may put one at risk for identity theft (when a thief steals another person's identity and may open credit card accounts or even purchase a house or vehicle in that person's name): http://www.ftc.gov and can click 'identity theft' or such. What kind of jobs pay for 12-13 year olds?
forget it - you have to be at least 16 to work at any of those places - 12-13 yr olds cannot legally work at any paycheck job and you are not mature enough to handle those type of jobs yet anyway
you can't even get working papers until you are 14 and under 16 - you can only work until 7pm during school nights, which is pretty useless for most employers

depends on the state most require you to be 15 with a permit and most places wont hire 15's because of all the restrictions on them 16 you can work pretty much anywhere but 12-13 stick with babysiting and cleaning up yards
well wen u turn 14 there is a work license you can get so you can work wherever! all you need to do is ask ur mom or dad and they will take you to the court house and get your work license!
What kind of jobs pay for 12-13 year olds?
forget it - you have to be at least 16 to work at any of those places - 12-13 yr olds cannot legally work at any paycheck job and you are not mature enough to handle those type of jobs yet anyway
you can't even get working papers until you are 14 and under 16 - you can only work until 7pm during school nights, which is pretty useless for most employers
check back in 4 years
This site pays out daily so you can see right away that it works, and there's tons of proof on the site.

Should I keep my job at Mcdonalds?
I just started working at Mcdonald (im only 16, give me a break) and since i have not been able to eat meat. I dont know why. Unfortunatley, i have to train all summer for hockey and meat is part of my diet. The bad thing is, my dad forced me into the job and he will be "disappointed"(god i hate that word) if i quit.Should I keep my job at Mcdonalds?
i'm 16 too and i've been a vegetarian for almost four years and work @ chick-fil-a. There's tons of other ways to get protien, check out peta2.com for a free cookbook. oh, and i recommend keeping your job atleast until you have another one lined up. it may be hard to find somewhere else willing to hire a 16 year old, especially since we're in a recession. plus, your dad will be happy. good luck! :)
most people works in high school during summer time, to gain experience and make some money. If you really dislike your job, you should find another job, before you quit this job at Mcdonalds. Please be sure to give two weeks notice, as a common practice.
Go on line, to find what is the substitute for meat. Good luck!Should I keep my job at Mcdonalds?
My sister did the same thing but she worked at a place that specialized in chicken. That was 10 years ago and she still-to this day- does NOT eat meat....
You can eat other things high in protein so you should be ok. She is probally the healthiest of all my family.....
you don't have to eat meat. as long as you can eat eggs, tuna, whey protein, milk, cottage cheese you will have enough protein.Should I keep my job at Mcdonalds?
I think you should quit if it interferes with your sporting schedule. Also you should talk to your dad about it because its sometimes easy for parents to understand our problems that we face.
Stay with it until you find another one. Meat is not a necessity- there are great meat substitutes

If Republican's biggest excuse to not take jobs illegals do is the wages, why would they vote for Rick Perry?
The biggest excuse as to why Republicans don't take the jobs illegals leave behind is because of the wages paid by those jobs. TX Gov Rick Perry has only created minimum wage jobs like at McDonald's and Wendy's and he feels this is the way to go for the rest of the country, so why would Republicans support Perry? If Republican's biggest excuse to not take jobs illegals do is the wages, why would they vote for Rick Perry?
Because he has the letter R beside his name.
IndependentIf Republican's biggest excuse to not take jobs illegals do is the wages, why would they vote for Rick Perry?
You are correct, except you left something out.....those jobs were created with the use of Obama Stimulus money!!!!
Texas is 25th in employment, has the worst employment of any state contiguous to Texas, has more uninsured people than any other state, is $26 billion in debt and just fired 1000's of teachers...
Way to Go Perry!!.....or as we call him: Goodhair Pointy Boots Male Aggie Cheerleader Secessionist MoFo.If Republican's biggest excuse to not take jobs illegals do is the wages, why would they vote for Rick Perry?
From what I have heard so far of Perry, I won't support him. I wan't to look into his background first. I also heard he supports amnesty for illegals. If this is so, then he is off my list!

Long term benefits for working in McDonalds?
What are the long term benefits for working at McDonalds? Im 18 and considering dropping out of college and applying for a FT job at mcdonalds and id like to know if there is a good career their? Like chance of promotion, pay rise etc.Long term benefits for working in McDonalds?
Poverty, obesity, chastity.Long term benefits for working in McDonalds?
Well it's an American company that has franchises over here so that will mean that they have a decent awards/recognition scheme going and the chances of being moved on and upwards are very good providing you give it your all. You should also remember that despite it having a grim reputation for its staff, you can then say on your CV that you have been responsible for dealing with customers, money, health and safety and general security of the store and this experience is always recognised elsewhere.Long term benefits for working in McDonalds?
Why not contact McDonalds and ask them - their website invites you to do that: http://www.mcdonalds.co.uk/people/join-t鈥?/a>
Dropping in to our local branch, buying a burger at a quiet time and having a chat with a member of staff there would probably be helpful, too!
Bear in mind that half the restaurants in the UK are run as franchises.

What jobs would be good for Hispanic people that don't have paper?
Only jobs that are in CA and are close to Santa Ana. Like Pollo Loco or Mcdonalds. Thanx. What jobs would be good for Hispanic people that don't have paper?
None - quit trying to take jobs from people who have the right to them.
You do not.
Any company that hires you, or any other illegal immigrant, should be massively fined.
What do you mean by "papers"? Like certificates proving that you're a citizen of America? Oh god...What jobs would be good for Hispanic people that don't have paper?
go back home, or immigrate to mexico , thiers a lot of american companys moving down there thats why thiers no jobs here
If you are illegal then the answer is none, not trying to be rude but there are millions of legal American citizens out of work!!What jobs would be good for Hispanic people that don't have paper?
You do realize it is against the law to hire undocumented workers...
How about getting your papers? Did that thought ever cross your mind? We already have too many illegals, so there is no way in hell I'm going to help out.

You don't need experience to work at McDonalds. I couldn't say how likely you are to get the job, though. It depends on how many people are applying.

Mainly if they are not calling you within 2 days call them and just ask about the statues of your app. Then if they say they will call you, that's good, they might or might not, if you don't receive a call at the time call them back and say I was expecting a call at (whatever time) and then they will either set up an interview date or deny your app.I am 14 and applied online for a job at mcdonalds. What jobs can a 15 year old get?
I live in NJ. I'm 15 but I'm only a freshman so I won't turn 16 until later this year, since I do at least have an early birthday. My b-day is in mid October. I want to get a summer job but all the places I ask to apply to they say you have to be 16 to work there. I heard I can get a job at McDonald's but that's basically the only place I don't want to work. I like to work at Wawa, Brunswick Bowling Alley, or Blockbuster. Does anyone know where I can work? What jobs can a 15 year old get?
I am from Indiana, but sometimes in the Summer our local Employment agency finds summertime employment for kids your age. You might try this.

It was really nice in the beginning, but as the summer went on I started realizing it was hard to climb the stairs, and when I stepped on the scale this morning I realized that I had gained 35 pounds since June and I only weighed 115 back then. Mcdonalds JOB APPLICATION question?
Okay, so I am 15 and a half years old. I am applying for a job at Mcdonalds. I filled out the application online and clicked continue. Then this new thing popped up saying "You are at a website used by your prospective or current employer to recruit and select candidates. To proceed with this you need a User ID and PIN provided by an employment representative." ...But also, above that it said "Thank you for your interest in pursuing a job opportunity with McDonald's!"
So I was wondering what that is all about, the User ID and PIN? Do I need them, or how do I get them. Ugh, applying for jobs is so frustrating! HELPMcdonalds JOB APPLICATION question?
Number one rule:
Filling out applications online is a waste of time.
Go in person.
Dress well.
Be prepared with all your info to fill out the appliation - including paper and pens.
When done, ask for the manager to turn it in.
Shake his/her hand and sell yourself hard to him.
Compliment the store cleanliness (they like clean people), and tell him how much you would like to work there.
Practice this with a parent.
Return 2 days later with a typed thank you letter.
Make sure to remember the managers name.
Again, ask for the manager to turn it in
Go in off hours - not during lunch or dinner and not afer 4pm
This will also show them that you have transportation to the location.
You'd be surprised how many 15 year olds apply and have no way of getting there.
/Mcdonalds JOB APPLICATION question?
Believe it or not there are still plenty of people that do not have the Internet. I am a counselor for a teenager job program, and I can tell you that they still do issue paper applications, and in fact I recommend it over the privacy online application shell. So I would march right down there and get an application in person. In fact there are somethings that you can take to enhance your chances of getting the McDonalds job. Those are none other than at least (2) letters of reference. Where might one get those? Try some teachers or relatives or adults that have interacted with you in any charitable organization or church.

Where do i go on my first day on the job at McDonalds?
So i start monday at 9. I'm really only nervous about where i go when i first walk in.
Here's the scenario:
I walk in with my uniform on. I notice a few customers in line, and all the crew working hard in the back. Everyone seems to be busy.
So do I wait in line and say "I'm here for training, where should i go?" or do I walk back into the area, that i'm not familiar with, and find a manager?
Both would make me feel pretty uncomfortable.Where do i go on my first day on the job at McDonalds?
I'm a manager at mcdonalds...if you are starting at 9 there should be a manager upfront somewhere...just go to the end of the counter and let someone know you are there for your first day, if its an employee they will grab the manager for you and then the manager will take you backand get you started for the dayWhere do i go on my first day on the job at McDonalds?
I think waiting in line would be more awkward so I would look for the manager
Here's the scenario:
I walk in with my uniform on. I notice a few customers in line, and all the crew working hard in the back. Everyone seems to be busy.
So do I wait in line and say "I'm here for training, where should i go?" or do I walk back into the area, that i'm not familiar with, and find a manager?

HELP
*i asked this already, but i really need a descent answer, i kind of need a job* :PMcdonalds JOB APPLICATION question?

How Do I Get A Job Application From McDonalds?
do i wait in the food line and then ask them? what do i say? do i say i want a job? or can i work here? or can i see your manager? im 16, i need a job, i never worked before, i dont know how to get an application or ask for one. someone please give me step by step instructions. thanksHow Do I Get A Job Application From McDonalds?
Just walk up to anyone at the counter and ask if they are hiring. They will point you to an application, or hand you one. You can fill it out right there and often interview with the manager right away. I suggest when you do this, wear something nice. Make them think you're an adult and you have a better chance of getting the job.
Lastly, look at the McDonalds farthest from homes. Most fast food employees are teenagers and cannot drive. So the restaurants farthest from houses are usually the most desperate for help and will most likely start you within days.
Hope this helps.

Can I use my job i just got at McDonalds to work my way up to a Manager and Managerial Experience from bottom?
I am wondering if I do really really good at McDonalds that down the road will I be able to be promoted to a Manager and start down the road to getting Managerial experience, to use at McDonalds and also other positions in a Managerial sense? (Starting from working as a normal crew member.)
Thanks! Can I use my job i just got at McDonalds to work my way up to a Manager and Managerial Experience from bottom?
yes
80% of maccas start as normal crew
work hard and do the crew trainer folder and work your way up to manager folders.
never turn down shifts and stay in your managers good books.
people spend heaps of cash going to university to get the certificatewhen they can get it for free at maccas!
good luckCan I use my job i just got at McDonalds to work my way up to a Manager and Managerial Experience from bottom?
Unless you're the bosses nephew you have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Go to college and get an MBA(Masters in Business Administration). Work your way up for a few years and then get experience elsewhere. The MBA opens doors that you can not enter otherwise. Remember always work a little harder and smarter than the other guy and management will notice you. A piece of advise my Grandmother gave me years ago was work a sustainable pace. If you bust your butt just to get ahead they will expect you to work that hard all the time. Sit down with a counselor and set attainable goals. Wherever you go you must remember that everyone has more experience than you. So keep your mouth shut and your ears open. Can I use my job i just got at McDonalds to work my way up to a Manager and Managerial Experience from bottom?

What kind of jobs are there in the world?
I'm a teenager and from year to year, as my outlooks on life have become different, I have gotten lost in the job opportunities. I don't know what I want to "be" when I "grow up". What are all the options? What I'm looking for is something that will make me money. I'm far from being a greedy person, but I want nice things, as today I went to help my mom look for a car.
Would something like a lawyer make money? I don't want a McDonald's job that everyone seems to have nowadays. Thanks! What kind of jobs are there in the world?
YES BUT TAKES HARD WORK

How is your job interview with Mcdonalds?
i got an interview in mcdonals crew member. what do you think they will do to me?
Can you give me any tips? Tell you what you did to your interview
They said it would be a group interview and i thought it's going to be a group of people (including my sel) pretending to do something.
Tell me your experience and can you give me tipsHow is your job interview with Mcdonalds?
Give them truthful answers. Let it be the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Do not appear anxious to them. Stay calm. Speak thoroughly, and give them specific examples of how you did on your previous job(s). Tell them that you would enjoy working there, and that you intend on helping their company grow for many years to come. Do not bring up salary or vacations. Let them bring up salary. You do not want to sound like you think you are entitled to anything. If you are unsure of an answer, put yourself in their shoes, and think to yourself, "If I were the employer, what would I want to hear from the interviewee?" That will help you answer the question. You could also keep that particular answer short, and get to the point in that answer. How is your job interview with Mcdonalds?
When I had my group interview I didn't shut up, they want loud, friendly people who get on well with the customers, so basically just tell them you like working in a busy environment, as it as sure as hell busy and you love working with people, should do the trick :)

What is the McDonalds pay rate for a 14 yr old?
I have just recently been given a job position with McDonalds as a casual employee. Just wondering what the pay rate would be for me. I'm 14yrs old and this is my first job.
I live in Australia, I dont know if pay rates differ in different countries. Thanks. What is the McDonalds pay rate for a 14 yr old?
its $7.57 for 14 and 15 year olds in aus. 16 year olds get $9.50 and it goes up from there.
Probably whatever minimum wage is in Aussie Land.Thats what they pay in U.S.A. and U.S.A. owns them. What is the McDonalds pay rate for a 14 yr old?
They SHOULD have told you that when they hired you. Ask you manager. Whatever the rate is, the HAVE to know.
Whoever said they pay minimum in the US is clueless. US teenagers won't QUIT for less that $1.00 over minimum.
McDonalds in the USA will not hire anyone under the age of 16.
No way to compare. What is the McDonalds pay rate for a 14 yr old?
it should be minimum wage; whatever that happens to be in Australia.

What people think about illegals taking jobs?
I know I have heard alot of speeches by people saying that illegals are taking the jobs that Americans do not want. Do these people think all Americans get CEO jobs and other high paying jobs. Some people might not have the oppertunities or ability to get a nice high paying job. So they have to get the bad jobs that a avalible like Wal-mart, landscaping, janitor, McDonalds, ect. This is not because they want these jobs but because they need these jobs because they can't get anything better. Yet, with the hundreds of thousands of ILLEGAL immigrants coming to America the people that were BORN here are having to fight with people that jumped a fence and come here because their own country does not want to help them. What people think about illegals taking jobs?
The lady above me is right....I also live on a border city in Texas, and I see "Hiring" signs everywhere....I am self employed now, but my old boss has called me back to work for him, he needs workers....
America was based on a capitalist economy...I am not saying that anyone is more deserving of a job than anyone else, but with a 4% unemployment rate, it is almost impossible to not find a job...I live in Texas (RIGHT next to Mexico) and I always see job openings at McDonalds or Wal-Mart...the problem is that some people think that it is below them or that it doesn't pay enough, or that it is easier to get on welfare than to work! Bottom Line---it's a dog eat dog world...What people think about illegals taking jobs?
Illegals wanted to get jobs Americans do not want and wanted. They wanted to work hard and be promoted even to CEO. Thus, it is anybody's ballgame because each person must fight it out to climb the ladder and be successful.
U are not right, u think that people who works in mcdonalds, walmart janitors etc don't need abilities and that's incorrect, since mcdonalds changed the personnel who works there for americans is a mess, the last 3 times i went there they were mistaken in my order, that never happend before when illegals were working there.
On landscaping, americans don't know how to do a good job, olny some people knows how to work landscaping.
My boss (janitors a security company) recently he told me: just illegals know how to clean, when the HR 1804 starts i gonna close the company because i preferr close the company that hire americans, they make to many problems and they are too lazy (he, my boss is american, and he knows his people). What people think about illegals taking jobs?
You are right. I never heard of any american citizen who is out of a job and needs one, that has turned down any job. That stuff is a bunch of bull and I am glad to see someone else say that.
I would do mostly anything if I had to, if that was all there is to do in order to keep my household.
These people making these statements and speeches who say such things have never been in a situation where they had to work. They don't think they would do such jobs because they never had to, they must have had it easy their whole lives and would not stoop so low as to do a min. wage job.
We all know that a min wage job is a job. If there were no way to get a job for most people, they would do any job there was. That statement is for the rich, high class, snobby americans who have had it easy their whole life.
The "jobs Americans won't do" line is bullcrap that needs to be retired. It's only because people from foreign countries have been allowed to come in and occupy the lower class in huge numbers that they have started to take over these jobs. And why is this illegal immigration encouraged? Because they'll work for well-under-minimum-wage pay that natural US citizens wouldn't be able to live on.
And besides that, the illegals are starting to take higher-up jobs that Americans DO want and get. Anybody hear of the recent layoffs by Best Buy and other technology firms? These guys were making 8 dollars an hour - and were STILL let off to let the illegal invaders get their slice.
It just a flat out lie that they do jobs US citizens wont do. At the factory I work at there were 68 of them working for the temp agency. They got the same pay as everyone else. Notice were because they got deported and now those jobs are filled with legal citizens.
I think it's time we rounded up ALL the illegals and sent them back to wherever they came from. Then we should militarize the border. As far as "jobs that Americans won't do," that arguement is crap. Americans won't do those jobs for $25 a day because legal citizens don't have 20 of their buddies to go in on a 2 bedroom apartment with. If we removed illegals from the work force, the cost of produce will go up, but according to one study, lettuce would go up 6 CENTS. WE pay enough for these people to freeload on our health care system, and then they send all their money back "home." Well it's about time the "real" American people took a stand against the poor, unskilled workers that Mexico (among other countries) keep sending us. We have enough poor people here who are actual citizens, we should take care of them before impoting poverty from a 3rd world country.
Illegal aliens are not wanted or needed here. We need to secure our borders and deport them. We need to enforce our laws and fine the employers who hire illegal aliens.
It sucks, period. If they think we don't want those jobs, just go down to the unemployment line sometime and ask them.
I have been a hard working American for fifty years now and am not afraid or unwilling to do any paying job.
Go home illegals.
I heard that all the times.Well, the American's administration
has to look at their neighbors and do something about the
economies because that is the first step and the rest , the big, big companies already done their jobs even in my country. They do enjoy good prospects like the vietnam with many indulgences that bring profit and economic growth to the country. Besides, just the normal trading relations. I am a Singaporean and I even know Vietnam how its propers economically. Just educate the illegal immigrants the legal system of your country. Illegal immigrants are everywhere in this new global economy. Understand them!
one time i heard this lady and man talking about how there's no work thats why shes on welfare and how she couldnt find a job because all the immigrants are taking them. the man told her mcdonnals is always hiring, why not apply there? she told him with an attitude,"im not gonna work at mcdonnalds for minimum wage! he told her well do you have any degrees or at least a HS diploma? she said no, but i aint workin in no mcdonnalds! you see these people are the ones that abuse the system she was born here but yet she's not willing to work there because shes too good for it. if its not true why dont citizens work in algriculture picking produce, theres a shortage there.
I worked at a plastic molding company and they needed workers bad i was one of the few citizens that work there and I got rank because i was bilingual and a from here. these poor ladys busted their as* off. we did get a few people born here but they quit after a day or two, some didnt return from their brakes. they paid $8.00 an hour, they just said it was too hard.
Hello this aint no office job and if youre a HS dropout this is the best you could do, but for some reason they feel entitled to more. theyre even callin immigrants out to the mid west due to worker shortage in factories. I know my aunt moved to iowa because theres alot of work. but people get mad at that. the problem is people born here who own these companies are hiring them over us, 1. less whining 2. harder workers and so on if its not true why is it going on now?
If you really want no illeagal immagrants. Make it:
Ilegal to own properity or businesses,
Give big fines on anyone who hires them to work for them. I have no problem with them comming here. Just do it legally.
Or, If you don't want them here. Just get a bunch of the bars that you put on the belt at the grocery store, to seperate your groceries from the other persons items, at the grocery store. And put those on the border. Nobody goes over those.
oh so now we take YOUR jobs. we only take jobs you lazy americans don't bother to do. get your facts straight. whats the big problem what have they done to you. they have every right to be here and no one should judge them so leave us alone.
The lady above me is right....I also live on a border city in Texas, and I see "Hiring" signs everywhere....I am self employed now, but my old boss has called me back to work for him, he needs workers....

How did you apply?
Generally, with most chains in Australia, applying to the chain will rarely get you hired - for best results, you should apply to the store directly, either by handing your resume into the manager, or emailing the store directly. How Long Does It Take For Melbourne Central McDonalds to reply to your application? If there was an ad up saying they were hiring - I would call them or turn up again. If you just applied - then they will not contact you until there is an opening (i.e. someone quits) which could be weeks to months.

How old do you have to be to get a job at McDonalds?
I'm 14 and live in Las Vegas. How old do you have to be to get a job at McDonalds?
14............................
different owners of franchise businesses like McDonald's have different policies about hiring minors so just apply the worse thing that can happen is they say no.
when you go dress neat, clean, and appropriately for the business, be polite and ask for an application and the appropriate time to bring it back. you will need references so talk to teachers, clergy, coaches, anyone you have done casual labor for, friends parents etcetera be sure to ask if you can use them as a reference and let them know to expect calls from prospective employers.
for more info about hours you can work, work permits are not required in Nevada for those 14 or older, job suggestions, interview information etcetera go to "youthrules" there are links for teens, employers, parents and educators for each state.

Sorry I think you are too young! How old do you have to be to get a job at McDonalds?
probably 16 to get any kind of paycheck job - child labor laws

With parents permission, I believe any age is okay, but if you're unsure, go ask at the local police station about the laws in Nevada.
(note about the poster who mentioned child labour laws: they're not actually a strict "all or nothing" scenario - think about child actors for example...)
lol you need to be at least 16 sorry lil tike,,
hey im looking for a summer job too and i just called mcdonald's and they said 16happy wheels 2

I applied for a job at Mcdonalds online, but, it says....?
The application process is not complete until you
visit your local McDonald's restaurant to sign and
date your application and complete other
requirements.
Does that mean they will call me and then I need to go in. Or do I go in?
Most of the jobs I applied for made it so I can walk in and get a job application and then turn it back in the next dayI applied for a job at Mcdonalds online, but, it says....?
It means you have to go in to the physical Mcdonald's to sign and date the application.
I'd print out anything you filled out at the Mcdonald's website just so you have it with you.
Unless they specifically state on the site an expiration date for you to come in, then you should be able to go in at your convienence. But you shouldn't wait two weeks. I'd go in the next business day or the day after that.
Also, you should go in around 7 or 8, when the manager is more likely to be free.
Another thing you should bring any photo id you have in case they need to see it.
McDs hasn't been user friendly for a while now. Just to error on the right side, print your application so you can take it in with you..... And, as the others have told you, go in when it's quiet.
Good luck on your job search!I applied for a job at Mcdonalds online, but, it says....?
I say go in, and go around morning hours so the manager is free.
actually wanna go before that, 11 is when the lunch rush starts
8-9 is bestI applied for a job at Mcdonalds online, but, it says....?
you have to go in ,its best mid morning between 10-11am..when the manager is not so busy..dress neat

I got a job at McDonalds Canada and I still don't know how to work the till?
I did my training and I have work again tomorrow; is there a picture of all the buttons on the till I can study (Because there are SO MANY) or can somebody help me out? Please!!I got a job at McDonalds Canada and I still don't know how to work the till?
Here in Washington, USA they are color coded for category. You may want to find what order the keys have in common will help you to remember where to find them. Combo meals should be together, Individual burgers at regular price together, dollar menu items together, you will see a way to remember soon, it takes a little time to get it all down. Maybe go in a little earlier tomorrow and ask to study the keys of the Till a bit.
Not to sound insensitive to your panicking, but the best thing you can do now is stay cool. I just started working at an American McDonald's about a week ago. I didn't even get training. They just showed me the register and some of the buttons and set me to work. I feel bad for my first hour or two of customers, who probably suffered at my hand, but by the end of my shift, I had a relatively firm grasp of the inner workings of that crazy machine.
The best studying you can do is gaining first-hand experience. If you forget where something is, you can easily ask a passing coworker. After a few hours, you'll be fine. After a few shifts, you'll be great. After a few weeks, you'll be a pro.I got a job at McDonalds Canada and I still don't know how to work the till?
you can simply ask your boss/trainer to provide you a copy of those buttons.
I know exactly how you feel i finished training today and my fiorst shift by my self is on tuesday...I got a job at McDonalds Canada and I still don't know how to work the till?
Whats a "Till"?
We may call it something else here.
