Given that McDonalds created almost 60,000 jobs overnite, who is buying it?

Has America just become the largest "service Industry"?

Producing less and servicing more?Given that McDonalds created almost 60,000 jobs overnite, who is buying it?
at some point, you don't need that many people producing stuff. 2% of our country works in farming and produces half of the worlds food. technology takes over and there is less for people to do.

that fact that people have to work harder and longer to scrap by is absolutely ridiculous. as a society we could produce the same as we do now with everyone working 20 hours a week. take those people in mcdonalds and put them in a factory, split their hours in half, and let everyone cook their own crappy burgers at home. the SAME amount of stuff will get produced in that factory, and people are still getting their burgers, but one system takes 40 hours a week and one takes working 20 hours a week.

but our ****** up economy doesn't work that way.
It's really sad when 5000 people apply for 500 McDonalds jobs...

All the wealthy tell the unemployed to get off their butts and get a job - any job - yet there aren't even those McDonalds jobs...

All the big corporations laid off all their workers so they can use slave labor overseas so they can make huge profits for their stockholders and in turn the stockholders will increase the CEO's wages.

Until the time comes when finally, there are no jobs left but shining the wealthy's shoes...

We used to be a proud, producing nation. Now we're a weak consuming nation, but nobody wants to take responsibility for that, do they?Given that McDonalds created almost 60,000 jobs overnite, who is buying it?
Considering our education system is in shambles, I frankly don't think most of our young men and women are capable of anything above a McD or Wally World job.
Those are not jobs but hobbies. No one can live on a McDonalds salary.Given that McDonalds created almost 60,000 jobs overnite, who is buying it?
i need my happy meal, and i will do unhappy things to get it if anyone stands in my way!
The US has been gearing it's self to be a sevice country for quite a few years. It didn't just happen over night.
